The subproject P3 at PLUS Salzburg focuses on online texts and examines linguistic patterns in the formulation of complaints.

To this end, negative reviews from all German-speaking countries are analyzed and subjected to an areal comparison. For this purpose, contributions are selected from publicly accessible complaint portals that can be clearly assigned locally and that contain one or a maximum of two stars in the ratings.

Quantitative and qualitative methods will be used to determine communicative patterns in online complaint communication and, in particular, to identify areal differences.
